Mental Skills for Athletes is a 6 week mindfulness-based program focused on building resiliency for athletes and coaches through the paradigm of present and focused awareness . Mental skills which focus on present moment experiences show great promise for athletes and coaches in regulating emotions, becoming more aware while addressing performance analysis through the framework pf mindful intent. Foundational to Mental Skills for Athletes is a commitment to a personal meditation practice which draws on the rich contemplative wisdom reflecting compassion and self-kindness. Athletes and coaches learn the skills to remain in the moment, to recognize flow patterns in competition and enhanced motivational skills that emphasize positive mental focus.
